People often forget or maybe unaware that when they are going to the retail stores to shop for a diamond ring they are paying a high mark up price, usually the profit the stores makes on each diamond ring comes to 100-500% mark-up, the reason is that those stores has to pay rent, employees and stock, they have to mark up their products in order to survive, so the question is if its so expensive in the store, why not buy online?

Many reasons people come up with is that they want to see the ring before they make a purchase, but many people forget that a lot of sellers online especially on eBay offers money back warranty so why not use it to buy a ring and if you dont like it you can send it back for your money, the simple example is when one of our employes bought an engagement ring to his fiance back then he went to the shop to look for 1.05ct D VS1 diamond with GIA certificate,the seller in the store was nice and offered him a varaity of rings and diamonds, the lowest price was $8753 before tax, he was kind to her and said he will think about it, since his budget back then was not that high, he decided to look online before he lends money to buy the ring, for his amazment the same ring was offered at the price of $3456 including tax and shipping, he bought it without a thought,and when it came it was amazing even nicer then the ones he saw in the stores, and now his wife showing it on her hand where ever she goes, so you see by looking online he saved enough money that he could purchase another ring if he wanted to, when you buy online the sellers can offer you great discount as they dont have the burdain of rent and other expenses that regular stores have.
